BLOCK CHARGE PLAYS! Let's Look at Plays | 5 Play Friday LIVE!

Determining whether a defensive player has established a position to draw a charge or if it's a blocking foul can be highly subjective and often missed. The decision is often made in a split second, leading to potential errors.

YOU CAN'T DO THAT!! | Referee the Traveling Call in Basketball. NFHS

It is impossible to travel while dribbling. Often missed due to the speed of play, traveling occurs when a player holding the ball moves one or both feet illegally. This is particularly common when players take an extra step after picking up their dribble or shuffle their pivot foot.

An illegal dribble (double dribble) doesn't happen often, so don't be surprised when it does.

Knowing when a dribble starts and ends is crucial when understanding and processing the basics of this rule. Just because a player touches the ball with two hands does not make it an illegal action. However, if a second dribble occurs after the first has ended, an illegal dribble has occurred and a violation should be ruled.
